it was hubby and my bday weekend.
it's usually a pretty major week, but we stayed pretty chill this year. no parties, just hubs and myself with our closest friends, some memorial day kick ball and beers, pool parties, whole in the wall karaoke bars, and of course the beach (that we live 15 minutes from). developing and scanning of pics to come...

I wrote this a couple months ago for bullett mag blog, but the sights been down, revamped, and not back up for another couple of weeks. So i'll just put it here now. :)

One of our favorite new bands coming out of Brooklyn, NY, is HUNTERS and their new track "DEADBEAT" puts them at the tippy top of our list.

Led by the duo singers/guitarists, Derek Watson and Isabel Ibsen, this

James Iha (of The Smashing Pumpkins) produced track mixed by Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs is sure to fulfill your heavy bass/garage noise needs.

i haven't blogged or done what i said i was going to do.
i got my tonsils out last week and holy mother...
i was told it was going to be bad, but this is beyond.
it's day 11 and the only times i've removed myself from the comforts of my couch is to use the restroom or go to bed with hubby.
today is a little better seeing that i actually ate 3 bites of pudding and had a few sips of water.
i'm jonsing to start showing off some new outfits, but it seems it may be another week at least. :(
and besides that, I'M STARVING!!!!!
hubby has promised to take me to the beach for a beach-burger and pina coladas as soon as this is over.
if anyone saw be right now they would say i needed some sun and a burger, so i thought that would be a great first outing.

so i think at some point (probably the very beginning) there was some sort of reason for having a blog.
darrell (bestie) and i were living an ocean apart (him in nyc and myself in paris) and "international sandwich" was a great way to keep up with each other as individuals, which was pretty much just pictures of our favorite newnesses... like fashion and mucic inspirations (since we no longer had the weekend pre-game at his or my place).
once he dropped off the face of the earth, i took it on.
now it's just me, my rad friends and their goings on, some tits (mainly my own since i'm all about self-pro"bone"tion) and a lot of happenings with new music (yes i am lazy and need to blog more than once a month, i know).
i feel like it's missing something. a LOT of somethings but i'm all about baby steps.
over the past few years, i've had a few requests from readers (reader) to do sort of a "what i wore" kinda thing. i don't see the harm in trying something new so i will take it on.
suggestions welcome.
