some of my earliest memories of my life in paris and the very beginning of my modeling career, are of this beautiful, creative, kooky woman.

she was 16 when i met her and we spent most of our days in cars being driven to castings, just me and her, where daul would be in the front seat completely turned around with her chin over the head rest yapping it up jamming out to anything and everything.

she's also the only one that could handle my inability to walk on the runway, spending up to 2 hours a day with me on it. yeah. i was pretty bad. and damn this girl could catwalk.

as it goes with most models, we went through the good, bad and ugly and i have to say, daul kim, you are a person that will definitely be missed. i'm happy i got to know you and i'm glad we were friends.

rest in peace precious girl.

so after a long new york fashion week, i am avoiding all things fashion.

i had so much to say about each collection (and quite a bit to say about the few that killed it, like alexander wang and the incredible body paint at rodarte), but honestly if i look at one more show or have one more discussion about anything to do with the shows or what's new etc, i might explode.

i am skipping london, milan and paris and taking an extended weekend back in florida.

hopefully i will return to new york sun-kissed and ready to roll.

so of course the polaroid news was upsetting to everyone, and since i am always on the hunt, i am able to occasionally find some packs of film, which then of course i spend $100 buying that particular store out of their pola film stock. and it is waaaay harder to find while i'm back here in the states!

yes you can buy in on ebay, but the bidding wars get atrocious .

Now Urban Outfitters presents a limited edition 700 hand-numbered deadstock Polaroid camera kits. The exclusive Special Edition will include one pack of Polaroid Instant Film along with one of the most sought after analog instant cameras, the Polaroid ONE600 Classic, the last Polaroid camera ever produced.

Urban Outfitters will offer additional deadstock original Type 779 Instant Film saved from the last production runs from the factory in The Netherlands, hand-selected, tested and stored at low temperatures exclusively. Wallpaper.com will also be partnering to host the pop-up shop in the Oxford Street location.

The launch at the London flagship will be on Friday, August 21st, simultaneously to the North American stores.

He's slowly rolling out menswear with a small collection of tops under his lower-priced T line that bridges the gap between the label-whoring guy who seeks out jeans with a leather crotch patch and the guy whose significant other buys all his clothes for him at the Gap. All too often men's designers send clothes down the runways that suggest they have paid the conservative fashion-fearing male, many of whom shop exclusively online to avoid the embarrassment of being seen in an actual clothing store, no consideration. But Wang's first collection is decidedly non-flamboyant. “It’s a guy who doesn’t think he’s fashionable, but is just cool and has taste and style," he told WWD last month.
